July 2020 Market Report

Greetings from Sunny Naples, Florida!

It’s hard to believe it’s already July. I hope this finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy!

Naples has remained in Phase 2 of reopening, which means real estate showings, hotels, restaurants, bars, beaches, parks, retail shops, spas, hair & nail salons, and gyms may be open and are following closely with the CDC’s COVID safety procedures.

Although the media is constantly reporting Florida as a COVID hotspot, Collier County is doing better than most and has some of the lowest numbers in the state. Please feel free to contact me for a local perspective.

2020 began as a record-breaking year following 2019’s unprecedented real estate sales performance. May 2020 fell in most categories due to Naples being closed down. However, in June and July, we began seeing a resurgence in showings and sales as pent up demand continues to emerge.

Because Naples, Florida is a tax shelter with properties available in all price ranges and we are seeing some of the lowest mortgage rates in years – now is a very affordable time to buy. Naples is renowned for its 34 miles of spectacular white sand beaches, gorgeous Gulf of Mexico sunsets and fabulous waterfront homes in a wide variety of price points.

Our quality-of-living is enviable – from our wealth of championship golf and tennis venues, parks and trails, outstanding schools and health care, dynamic fine dining and world-class shopping, to our acclaimed cultural Arts scene. Most important, friendly, sunny Naples ranks as one of the healthiest, happiest small cities in the country. It’s a little piece of paradise.

It’s a great time to buy or sell real estate in SWFL! Find out what your home is worth or shop for properties on my other website: janinemonfort.premiersothebysrealty.com
