Lakewood is located off of Tamiami Trail in between Airport Road and Rattlesnake Hammock. Lakewood offers an executive 18 hole golf course and over 3,000 yards of play for all ages. This 60 par course opened in 1979 and continues to be a fun for all ages. Lush landscape, grounds with mature trees, abundant plantings, shimmering water features, sand bunkers, narrow tree-lined fairways and exceptional greens surround this tranquil golf course. The golf course is open year-round and golf memberships are available. The Country Club offers a beautiful clubhouse that is complete with sport and social events and activities, a restaurant, golf, tennis courts, and a heated swimming pool. Lakewood consists of villas, condominiums, town homes and single family homes. Many of the homes have lake views or golf course views.
